From Understanding Behaviour to Creating Lasting Change

Our Journey

PAWSative K9 Connections began organically, driven by a desire to help dogs and guardians communicate more clearly.

Understanding the job a dog was bred to do offers invaluable insight into behaviour. A dog’s DNA provides a footprint of their personality, characteristics and how they learn best. This understanding allows us to achieve consistent, long-term success while prioritising emotional safety and trust.

We are deeply passionate about helping guardians experience the euphoric bond that comes from calm, balanced and positive training.

Founder & Principal Trainer

Meet Nat

PAWSative K9 Connections was founded by Nat, whose passion for dogs is grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience.

Nat is a qualified veterinary nurse with over 15 years’ experience, having worked across Australia in:

  • Small animal clinics

  • Veterinary hospitals

  • Emergency and critical care settings

Her background provides a deep understanding of canine health, behaviour and emotional well-being. She continues to refine her force-free training techniques alongside Morgan, her charismatic Border Collie.

Meet Morgan

A Calm Canine Co-Trainer Supporting Anxious & Emotionally Challenged Dogs

Morgan grew up around veterinary clinics, calmly observing staff and clients. Her naturally neutral, “I’m not interested in you” demeanour makes her an invaluable support dog, particularly for dogs experiencing anxiety.

Through consistent training and emotional development, Morgan has learned first-hand how to regulate her nervous system. Her calm presence now helps other dogs feel safe, secure and understood.

Together, Nat and Morgan also support emotionally challenged dogs through home-based foster care, providing stability, safety and structured guidance.

Our Mission

Our ultimate aim is to help dogs feel:

Calm and emotionally balanced dogs
Confident and independent dogs
Safe in their homes, communities and social environments

Above all, we help guardians build strong, lifelong bonds grounded in trust, clarity and connection.
